Stefanie Holler (b. 1988, AT)
Stefanie Holler is a contemporary artist whose practice explores how everyday objects reflect collective ideals, fears and desires. She studied Translation Studies at the University of Vienna before completing her Fine Arts degree, specializing in printmaking, at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in 2013.
Working primarily with photorealistic charcoal drawing, Stefanie transforms ordinary objects into meticulously rendered images that invite closer reflection on time, materiality and perception. Her drawings also serve as starting points for installations and videos, extending her exploration of observation and transformation into space and movement
Stefanie has exhibited internationally in Austria, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Poland, Switzerland, the United States and Turkey. She has participated in art fairs including Drawing Now Paris and Amsterdam Drawing.
Her work is represented in important collections, including the ALBERTINA Graphic Arts Collection, Neue Galerie Graz, Sammlung Lenikus and the Vienna Museum (MUSA).
