Hilary specializes in contemporary art and is passionate in nurturing its appreciation and collecting.
Working as an independent art adviser and a cultural management professional, Hilary excels at connecting artists and creative talents with the right collectors and projects. She also specializes in curating engaging art programs and developing arts sponsoring strategies for corporations.
Hilary was educated in Hong Kong and Europe; possesses over 15 years of experience in international arts and cultural sectors; is a keen advocate for connecting arts and creativity to the public and the business sector. Since setting up the Vienna-based non-profit, City-Transit Asia-Europe, in 2006, Hilary has curated and managed multifaceted art & cultural exchanges, exhibitions, educational and promotional events in Europe and Asia, both with independent groups, as well as commissioned by institutions and corporations in Hong Kong, Europe and the USA.
Monika Ganswindt – Project Associate
Monika had a long banking career spanning over 2 decades in Germany before moving to Hong Kong with her family. She brings with her a wealth of experience in general management and is responsible for events and client service at CT Arts. Monika is a keen supporter of the arts and especially loves photography.
Prof. Dr. Gerd Schwandner – Advisory Board Member
Prof. Schwandner is the former Mayor of Oldenburg (2006-2014); a current Ambassador for Municipal Development Policy, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in Germany.
Prof. Schwandner has had an impressive career in public service that spanned over 3 decades and held numerous important positions both in State governments as well as in art and education institutions: From 1984-1992, he served two terms as a State Legislator in the State of Baden-Württemberg. He was the Vice Minister at the Senator for Culture and Foreign Integration in Bremen (1992-95), Managing Director at the Center for Art and Media Technology (ZKM) in Karlsruhe (1995-2000), Professor for International Marketing at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (2000-2006) and the Mayor of Oldenburg (2006-2014).
Prof. Schwandner studied medicine, German studies and art history and had practiced as a surgeon prior to his public service career. He and his wife, Dr. Annette Schwandner, are avid art lovers, collectors and members of the ICOM (International Council of Museums).
